It is the most durable of the three, the most popular, and arguably the most beautiful. Most of the time this tends to be one of the most expensive option for tops for your kitchen or bathroom, but for good reason. Granite tops stand the test of time better than any other type of countertop and are a great investment to increase or maintain the resell value of your home or business. Some popular granite options are white, soft white, earth and gray toned stone, and dark or onyx granite.
Quartz is, for a lot of people, a great alternative to granite. While the look and feel of quartz stone is a lot of the time very similar to granite tops, it usually comes at a bit more manageable price tag. This can be a bit more budget friendly option for a homeowner or business owner that still wants a visually appealing, durable product but doesn't want the granite. Some people even prefer the look of some marble tops. The one main strength or advantage of quartz countertops over granite is the range of options. Quartz offers a much wider array of colors and patterns than granite.
Price wise, marble countertops are pretty close to granite, and even at times a little more expensive. Marble tends to remain cool naturally, has a beautiful look to it and has a more subtle veining profile. While granite scores a little better as far as performance characteristics go, marble is still a great material for kitchen and bathroom daily wear and tear. Some of the most popular marble options are Calacatta, Carrara, and Statuary Marble.
